OUR SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENT
For every tree cut, 3 are planted
We are partners with Ontario Wood and all of our Fresh Cut, or rather - solid wood, lumber comes with a guarantee that for every tree that is cut and milled, 3 more are planted to ensure responsible forest management.
Reclaiming old barn wood
We specialize in building furniture out of reclaimed barn wood in Ontario. Barns throughout Ontario that were originally developed over 150 years ago, are coming down and most of this wood is ending up in landfills or as firewood. The incomparable beauty of this old growth lumber and the character from years of use and old machinery can not be recreated. It creates furniture that tells a story for generations to come.
We salvage trees and create beautiful live edge tables and furniture from the wood. These trees would normally be cut down by arborists and taken to the landfill or used as firewood. They usually are a hazard to older homes as they grow and risk damaging the house in lieu of a storm. We mill it so that we save every last inch of the tree for our products and we keep the entire tree width in tact to use as table tops. These table tops are typically made from only one or two wood slabs.
